I’ve been meaning to set up various ambient mics around this facility for some time now (19 years or so). I have some drum tracking lined up to record and finally got around to giving this a go beforehand. I set up a basic Kick/Snare/Hat kit and six different mic locations. Some more successful than others. The video cuts between the mic setups to showcase the results.

Got together with the @androidlust crew for a “Live in Studio” performance. I love being able to experiment with non-standard setups. Some Sunday Synthesis. Hooked up some box’s. Glitched out a drum loop recorded last week. Noodled on the Rhodes, & the A4 is supplying an elec kick, 303ish bassline, a clap, and CV for the Arp noise/snare. Fun times.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted any drum geekery. Trying out some new mic options before laying down some drum tracks for @youshriek . I recently got myself a @heisermanaudio H47 and quickly acquired a 2nd from the same batch. Trying them out as drum overheads. I’m pleased. ..
