So I flung the spaghetti at the wall & hit rec. Well, truthfully the drum take is a china cymbal test. @don_k_gunn sent me the hybrid and 10″ that I ended up stacking. I pulled out my other available china options and trashed away. The screeching siren song of synth noise is a combination of noodling on a Prophet X with a healthy amount of its Bit Hack/Decimate, too fun. An SEM via a HOOF “big muff” adding some sub pushing low end, & a DSP “fail” example stollen from @chris.randall posted in a group geek chat loaded up into the Octa. In conclusion, I love chinas.

What started out as a couple of Mic/Interface tests turned into this experimental collage of noises. Mic test-wise, I moved the 414 EB’s back to Overhead duty on the Kit. H47 on Kick reso and Guitar, with u195’s on Floors. Also decided to go the “Hard route” & dust off some hardware to create a Shimmer verb with an H3500+Lexican 200. Bassline is covered by the Ole Moog RME, with some drum sequencing on the Octatrack. Shot some video here and there and ended up with what looks like a gear fap session. Yeah well.
Checking out a new preamp/tremolo on the Rhodes with some improv synth/drum noodling. The Analog 4 is providing the distorted bass hit/elec cym & sequencing the Odyssey
This week’s experimental improv. Decided to give the Elektron boxes some air time. Letting the Digitone Keys drive the SEM and A4. I gave the snare the RE-201 delay/spring treatment. #DistortaDUB?
